摘要
Ricardo Piglia is a fundamental Latin American writer and critic. The author characterizes literature as a complex discourse where theoretical and critical knowledges are displayed through fiction. His hybrid texts, mixture of voices and genres, interpellate the reader, giving him an active role in the process of deciphering and configuring the text. The following article analyses some his theoretical concepts as literature, fiction, reader and distance effect from the texts Respiracion artificial (Artificial respiration), La ciudad ausente (The absent city), Prision perpetua, Formas breves, El altimo lector (The last reader), El escritor como lector, Tres propuestas para el nuevo milenio y cinco dificultades.
