摘要：
The equilibration of a mixture of enantiomers or diastereoisomers prior to or during kinetic resolution permits the isolation of a single isomer of one product in >50% yield. Examples of such processes involving both enantioselective and diastereoselective reactions are discussed. In some cases highly efficient processes are available, yielding, for example, cyanohydrin acetates and alpha-substituted carboxylic acid derivatives in high yield and with high e.e. and d.e. respectively.
