摘要：

During the 1960s and 70s, Colombia underwent numerous transformations in different fields. Birth control policies promoted by the State divided public opinion and led to a heated debate regarding the prevailing conceptions and practices of sexuality. The sexual morality defended and legitimized by the Catholic Church through its authority lost ground to social sectors that promoted sex education as a tool for the self-determination of the human being, a situation that benefited the secularization process.
