摘要：
In coal and lignite power stations a gypsum of a high quality can be obtained from flue gas desulphurization processes (FGD) with lime/limestone scrubbing. Due to its chemical composition and to its low content of trace elements FGD-gypsum can easily be used for the production of building materials. The Federal Republic of Germany is a strong market for FGD-gypsum. It can be forseen that the amount of FGD-gypsum produced by flue gas treatment processes will not sufficiently satisfy the demand for gypsum.
