Endovascular techniques and videoscopic assisted thoracoscopic surgery have been selectively applied in the trauma setting. These techniques continue to evolve and have gained acceptance as the treatment of choice for certain traumatic thoracic injuries. © 2008 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
