摘要：

This article aims to address the problem that arises when looking to establish what the welfare is, based on approximations about hedonism, desires, preferences satisfaction, status and Rawls's primary goods, mainly self-respect. Besides Rawls's, some ideas from authors like Amartya Sen, Martha Nussman, among others will be taken to guide the reader on reflections that build a theoretical frame that allow to show accepted social behaviors about women's welfare, but that not necessarily guarantee an optimal life condition for them.
