摘要
Objective: The aim of this study is to investigate the burn-out levels, and job satisfaction of health care providers working in dialysis units. Methods: The study sample was composed of 107 health care providers working in a dialysis unit in Istanbul. Sociodemographic form, Maslach Burn-out Inventory, Minnesota Job Satisfaction Inventory and Beck Depression Inventory were administered to participants. Results: 59.8% of the participants had low, 34.8% had moderate and 5.4% had severe emotional exhaustion levels. 24.3% of the participants had probable depression. Significant positive correlation was found between emotional exhaustion and Beck Depression scores (r= 0.462, p< 0.001). Significant negative correlation was determined between Maslach Burn-out scores and Job Satisfaction scores (r=-0.291, p= 0.003). Conclusion: Health staff working in dialysis units have psychological difficulties. Future studies in this area are needed to increase the quality of life of health care providers and decrease the problems regarding the working conditions.
