Housing function of cultural heritage in the historic center of San Salvador

A way to rehabilitate cultural heritage of the Historic Center of San Salvador, which are in a serious state of deterioration and predominantly dedicated to the commercial function, is through the promotion of the housing function, that contributes a social connotation to the usual work of the restoration. This is the case of the Historic Center of San Salvador, in which there is an opportunity to rescue the unique cultural heritage of Wood and stamped steel sheet, through the promotion of housing cooperatives through mutual aid, to improve the quality of life of the few families still living in the center.
