摘要
The investigation of hydrogen peroxide depolarized fluidized bed cathode is described. It has been observed that the apparent polarization decreased with increase in fluidization and the performance of a fluidized bed electrode below 25-28% bed expansion was always better than that of a static bed with flowing electrolyte. The results are thought to be due to the mechanism of electrode reaction which is controlled by mass transfer. The effects of reactant and electrolyte concentrations and surface area of the electrode on the polarization were also studied. The results obtained throughout the work are encouraging when considering the application of fluidized beds as electrodes and they also indicate that these electrodes are worthy of further investigation.
