摘要
Bioethics is acknowledged as pluralistic and interdisciplinary, and the internal tensions arise and are needed to be continuously worked out. This work proposes to analyze the relationship between bioethics and theology, knowing that in theology there is always the perspective of confessionality that is, many times, in conflict with secular bioethics. This analyses does not want to deny the tensions, neither diminishes the pluralism existent in bioethics, but, on another way, to look for a possibility to work out the tensions. The possibility presented points that the secular bioethics, requiring a commitment to minimum ethics, presses the confessional bioethics do dialogue with the reality. Confessional bioethics, in its term, press the secular bioethics towards a maximum ethics, challenging everyone involved in the ethics conflicts to look at more complexes dimensions of human being and live.
