摘要
In contemporary society, societal changes and technological advances have created a potential interference and conflict between the competing demands of work and family needs for resources. Extensive research in the past few decades on the antecedents and outcomes of work-family conflict has indicated that this kind of conflict will detract from employee's quality of life. Therefore, the identification of work-family conflict issues is important to help employees reduce the level of dysfunctional interrole conflict. The research of this author aims to determine the employees' work-family conflict levels subject to regional differences within China. Findings reveal that Chinese employees' experiences of work-family conflict related primarily to time constraints. On the other hand, social support helps mitigate the work-family conflict of employees, especially in relation to the Confucian ideology.
