THE MODEL OF MANAGING EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITY OF STUDENTS IN THE PROCESS OF LEARNING A FOREIGN LANGUAGE

摘要
Having analyzed the features of University educational activity of students it was found that educational activity takes place when the action of a person is controlled by a conscious purpose to acquire certain knowledge and skills. According to S.I. Arkhangelskii, A.G. Asmolov, V.P. Bespalko, N.N. Zimnyaya, N.V. Postluk, G.N. Serikov et al., the process of becoming a qualified professional in many respects is determined by the quality of professional education received at the University. The results of revealing the essence of the process of managing the educational activity of the Altai State University (ASU) students in the course of foreign language teaching and the implementation of a systemic- functional approach to the educational process have allowed us to theoretically substantiate the managing model of educational activity of students in the process of learning a foreign language. When developing the models we have studied and applied the modeling method which is used in order to study the process of learning activities. The research has also allowed us to understand the relationships that occur within the subject of study. The works of scholars-philosophers (B.G. Glinskiy, B.S. Gryaznoy, B.S. Dynin, V.A. Stoff) contributed to the research, as well as the works of scholars-teachers (Yu. K. Babanskiy, B.N. Bespalko, V.V. Kraevskiy, M.G. Evdokimova, O.A. Obdalova, E.M. Shulgina). The structural-functional model has been chosen among the model types available in the scientific classifications as it simulates the internal organizational structure of the original. The choice of this model was determined by the following: 1) for identifying the essence of any object is necessary to disclose its structure, determine its specificity and allocate functions to consider this object in the dynamics; 2) the structural model has a different level of abstraction, generality and applicability; 3) several structural models can be created for the same original, allowing us to examine different levels of the object structure. The model of educational activity of students in the process of learning a foreign language is considered as a complex system with its own structure including target, technological and productive units.
