Library 2.0 The next generation of Web-based library services

Jack M. Maness is librarian and bibliographer of computer science at the University of Colorado at Boulder. He is interested in how libraries can leverage Web-based technologies to deliver personalized information systems to students and scholars. He has worked in libraries and bookstores his entire life, including at the Denver Public Library and the Tattered Cover Bookstore in Denver, Colorado, and as a child in his aunt's used-book store in rural Kansas. He was the 2002 recipient of the American Library Association's Marshall Cavendish Scholarship and is a nominated member of Beta Phi Mu, the International Library and Information Studies Honor Society. He holds a BA in literature (summa cum laude) and a masters of library science.
