DESCRIPTION OF THE RESONANCES OF HIGHER LAMB MODES IN THE SCATTERING PROBLEM FOR A CYLINDRICAL-SHELL

摘要：
The scattering of a high-frequency plane acoustic wave by cylindrical elastic shell is investigated. The first resonances of higher Lamb modes are analyzed. Explicit asymptotic formulas are derived to describe the shape of the resonances curves in the case of a circular cylindrical shell. It is established that their shape depends strongly on the mode of vibration of the shell in the vicinity of the suppression frequencies. The effectiveness of the proposed formulas is demonstrated by a comparison with the exact solution of the problem.
