摘要
The University council for Educational Administration (UCEA) commissioned seven study teams to identify the traditional and emerging perspectives in educational administration. In an attempt to pique your curiosity about their work, I first summarize overviews for each of the knowledge domains and then identify and discuss three common themes from the overviews: goals of education, paradigm wars, and causes and effects. We hope this will be a beginning of an ongoing dialogue about the knowledge base for our field.
