摘要
A total of 9 beagle dogs (7-10 kg, body weight) was administrated with acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin) at doses of 500 and 1,000 mg/kg/day for 7 days. Hepatomegaly was not observed in aspirin-treated dogs, but both the number and the size of peroxisomes per unit cytoplasmic area (number/mu m(2) and nm(2)/mu m(2)) were significantly increased in aspirin-treated group at day 7. Magnesium-dependent adenosine triphosphatase (Mg-ATPase) was located on the limiting membrane of aspirin-treated liver peroxisomes, but it was much less than that of intact or ordinary peroxisomes in the control dogs.
