Soil drenches of 1.0 and 2.0 ppm azadirachtin, an insecticidal component of neem extract, applied to infested chrysanthemums Dendranthema morifolium significantly reduced female fecundity. Longevity of males was significantly reduced by 2.0 ppm drench treatments. Fecundity of females treated with 1.0 ppm of azadirachtin peaked later and decreased more rapidly than that of untreated females. Overall fecundity of females treated with 2.0 ppm azadirachtin exhibited no consistent pattern of peak and decline. -from Authors
