QUALITY-CONTROL IN THE APPLICATION PROCESS

Total Quality Management (TQM) is a practical, realistic philosophy aimed at improving productivity by improving the quality of the production process. This article reports how the admissions office at Georgia Southern University uses TQM principles to control the quality of the application process. It also illustrates that TQM need not be adopted on an institution-wide basis in order to produce positive results.
