摘要：
The Gunning Fog Index and the Flesch Reading Ease Formula were used to analyze the readability of a sample population of optometric and ophthalmological journals. The results suggest that ophthalmological journals are significantly less readable when compared to optometric publications. Specific findings are reported along with the limitations of the study.
