摘要
A number of methodological difficulties frequently encountered when determining the moisture content of sapwood in trees are being discussed. A comparison of samples taken from high stumps of trees snapped in the 1990 windbreak shows considerable variation in MC, depending on the sampling technique. The advantages of an improved method for determining the physiological water-state in sapwood are being discussed as against the conventional determination of the moisture content.
