摘要
After a short evaluation of the development of the Slovak Republic food industry in the years of 1992-1993 the author pays attention to the typification of districts of the Slovak Republic from the point of view of food industry. For criteria of this typification the following indicators were chosen: the value of goods produced in enterprises of the food industry of the Slovak Republic; the share of employees of food industry in the total number of persons employed in the food industry of the Slovak Republic; the share of the value of goods produced in food industry in the district food industry in the total value of industrial goods produced in the districts (in per cent). On the basis of the scale derived from the Slovak average data (sec the table) the author defines 5 types of regions of the Slovak Republic, or 15 sub-types, respectively (see Fig. 1). The regions of the food industry of the Slovak Republic have been defined to be the regions in which two of the applied criteria revealed better-than-average values. By aggregation of districts of equal sub-types the author created macro-regions of the food industry of the Slovak Republic (Fig. 2).
