摘要
Electrochemical properties of the organic electrolyte solutions consisting of quarternary phosphonium salts and propylene carbonate were studied for use in electric double layer capacitors. Tetraethylphophonium tetrafluoroborate solution showed a high conductivity, large double layer capacitances and a good stability towards electrochemical decomposition on an activated carbon electrode. The electric double layer capacitor fabricated with the electrolyte solution exhibited a large capacitance, low internal resistances over a wide temperature range, and reliable performances for a long-term operation even at high temperatures.
