摘要
Information and communication technologies (ICTs) have been advancing very quickly over the past several decades. Indeed, over the past few years, the rapid emergence of ICTs has had important implications for learning experiences throughout Medical education and there has been considerable discussion between opponents and advocates of their effectiveness in learning. We here report the current use of ICTs in medical environment as well as their impact on the sector of medical education. We conducted a cross-sectional anonymous questionnaire survey sent electronically to medical students. Data were recorded in Excels (R) spreadsheet and analyzed using the SPSS software (R). Out of 80 distributed questionnaires, we collected and analyzed 76 validated questionnaires. Data collection on the impact of ICTs use showed that, as many sectors, learning experiences throughout Medical education is strongly affected by the development of ICTs. All participants interviewed stated that they used ICTs for their learning, in particular, for literature and data searchs (80%), social networks and electronic messages. The great majority of them think that the use of ICTs in learning was a source of motivation. Information and communication technologies have been advancing at a very rapid pace.Their integration to facilitate medical student's learning and the work of their teachers is essential. These reliable and motivating tools should not replace classical education methods but rather complement them.
