MEETING THE SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR ONLINE BASIS WEIGHT MEASUREMENT OF LIGHTWEIGHT NONWOVEN FABRICS

Fabric of lower thickness has reduced the cost per square meter of nonwoven roll goods while increasing the challenge to maintain fabric quality and performance. On-line basis weight measurement systems must meet special requirements for holding products and processes within tighter tolerances This paper describes the specialized technology needed to make on-line basis weight measurements practical for the production of lightweight nonwoven fabrics.
