摘要
This study covers the relation between holiness and world in five European writers of the first half of the twentieth century: two Spanish (Maragall y Maeztu) and three French (Peguy, Maritain y Bernanos). In a period marked by intellectual, artistic, and political revolutions, as well as by the syncretism and integration of the opposites, these writers succeeded in reconciling concepts and realities (holiness and world) which have been deemed conflicting throughout many centuries. These writers, by virtue of their intellectual, creative, and spiritual vigor, contributed to the advance of theology and Catholic spirituality.
