摘要：

This article discusses, historiographically, Latin American positioning on the boom and post-boom movements. Considering some of the difficult and complex issues involved, contradictions in the arguments possed by writers of these generations are pointed out as well as the difficulties of literary criticism in tryind to define these literary phenomena.
