NATIONAL SYSTEMS OF INNOVATION - SELECTION ENVIRONMENTS AND SELECTION PROCESSES

The concept of a National System of Innovation is redefined in terms of policies that affect industrial development, not in terms of actors or networks. A distinction is made between policies that directly affect the structural and behavioral aspects of industries and policies that shape the selection environment and, thereby, the nature of the selection processes to which the industries are exposed.
