GLAUBER ROCHA AND RUBEM FONSECA: A NEW WAY OF PRODUCING CINEMA AND LITERATURE IN BRAZIL

Focusing the time of the military dictatorship in Brazil, the text analyzes some short stories from Rubem Fonseca, published during the period, as well as the movement of the New Cinema and the Aesthetic of the Hunger, from Glauber Rocha that had revolutionized the own way of making cinema in Brazil. Centering the attention in the cinematographic proposal of Glauber Rocha, the text still makes an approach between the resources used for him in films as Deus e o Diabo na Terra do Sol, Terra em Transe e Idade da Terra and the Epic Theater of Bertolt Brecht.
