摘要：

This article deals with the activities of print media and particularly in the Kalmyk Autonomous Republic in the war period. The author concentrates on the contribution made by press and journalists to the upbringing of working people in the spirit of patriotism and labour enthusiasm. That contribution was also important in the strengthening of the interconnection between the front and the rear.
