THE GLOBALIZATION OF THE HIGHER EDUCATION SYSTEM: THE EDUCATIONAL INDUSTRY

Due to the globalization several changes has being happening in the economical, financial and cultural areas. One of these changes has occurred in the Higher Education System in several countries. Since the inclusion of the Education as a Service in the World Trade Organization (WTO) the "educational industry" has intensified. One of the main issues is that the globalized institutions does not consider the education as a commonwealth but as a service, and with that, if they are not regulated, they tend naturally to the generate products to be consumed and tend to competitiveness. On the other hand, these institutions have been assisting the new demands for Higher education. The objective of this article is to analyze the relationship between the globalization and Higher Education System and to compare National Universities and Globalized Universities in Brazil and the main changes happened in the last years. We discussed in this article the private and public sector in the Educational area, the strategy of the Educational industry and we discuss the regulation of the system and the creation of a mixed systems.
