摘要：

Addiction in the elderly is often hidden and not taken serious. Disstress of old age, helplessness, depressions, loneliness and experiences of loss may trigger a development of addiction diseases in elderly persons. By means of adequate motivation and treatment in groups of seniors in age, the perspectives of success are significantly more favorable than commonly expected. Therapeutical experiences and treatment outcome-data from a specialized treatment department of the Fachklinik Fredeburg are described.
