摘要
Steady-state voltammetry at a microelectrode of any shape whatsoever is shown to depend on three factors: the area of the electrode's interface with the electrolyte solution, an accessibility factor, and a heterogeneity function. All three are determinable experimentally. Once these three factors are known, the voltammetric response of the electrode to any electroactive species is predictable through a universal equation, which is applicable for all degrees of reversibility.
