In this paper, domestic violence beliefs and attitudes and ambivalent sexism are analyzed and the relationship between the scales in 476 university students with an age mean of 22.7. Ambivalent sexism Scale and Inventory of Thoughts Distorted (Echeburua and Fernandez-Montalvo, 1997). The findings reveal that male students are more hostile sexist, assuming the gender stereotypes, accepting violence towards women and tender to blame the woman of the violence. In addition, people are more hostile sexist stereotypes, accept violence, believe that women are to blame for their situation and minimize violent acts against women, even to exonerating the perpetrator.
