In this paper mistagogy will be considered as a style of ancient but always original pedagogy. It is linked with the function of a singular but multiformed kind of teaching and learning. In the past every culture kept and mediated these experiences in the ambit of the mythos and mysterious rituals. Maybe our ambiguity age invites us to explore and create another kind of access to this sacred ambit. The author tries to show how the film "Venus" of Roger Michel, that has mystagogical power, can bring a meditation to the mystery of feminine, erotism, fecundity, life and death. In this sense, mistagogy has to do with a group of problems of affective, sentimental and moral education, secular practices of self-care, self-knowldeges, art experience, thanatology topics.
