摘要：

This paper introduces a new approach to intelligent decision support system that utilizes a just-in-time concept of system knowledge management. The paper identifies the problems encountered while furnishing knowledge to the decision maker in the decision making process, describes the role played by traditional decision support systems (DSS), proposes the new intelligent just-in-time decision making support system (IJDSS), and utilizes simulation modeling to test the efficacy of the IJDSS relative to the DSS concept. Experimental results indicated that the IJDSS leads to better performance than the DSS. The paper closes with a discussion and an interpretation of the results of the experiment.
