New ways of teaching and learning to Geography: electronic games as a tool in teaching methodology in Geography

摘要
The current period called technical-scientific-informational brought in its bulge abrupt changes in terms of social, political, economic and cultural life of contemporary society. In face of this stage spatiotemporal the modern society demand a new geography that enables a different understandings for student of the territory in movement. With that, new ways of teaching and learning geography pass to value the ownership of a reflective and competent knowledge that empowers the individual to become critical and contextualizer - simultaneously competitive in the world of work. The structuring of society networks drives the need for an education that is instrumental for the understanding and knowledge collectively constructed in common, so we must be committed to educating for life, be competent and mastering the technical-scientific, political and pedagogical. Never has the need for continued education as was required in all professional areas, and this fact is the speed with which new information, new technologies and languages have taken account of daily life in geographic space. In Brazil recently educators have been incorporating into their teaching so-called interactive technologies as a means to assist in the learning process. In order to contribute to this debate, we propose in this article as electronic games can become an excellent teaching resource teaching in the process of teaching and learning geography.
