Discussion list for teachers' interaction: the voices of teachers-monitors in a course of English for Specific Purposes

摘要
Due to the great availability of resources for interaction and collaboration in the Internet, which include, among others, discussion lists, forums, blogs and social networks, besides the professionals' growing familiarization with such resources, the use of digital environments for distance interaction among teachers has become more and more common. This qualitative study, which has an ethnographic perspective, is aimed at identifying the topics arisen in a discussion list in which teachers-monitors of a course of English for specific purposes interacted, and at investigating how these teachers-monitors evaluated the ways these topics were approached in the list. It is expected that the results help to better understand how discussion lists are (or can be) used for interaction among teachers and how they perceive such use concerning the development of their own pedagogical practice.
