PROCESSES OF INCLUSION AND SOCIAL EXCLUSION IN THE CITY OF MONTEVIDEO (URUGUAY)

The article deals with processes of social inclusion and social exclusion in Montevideo; it is specially related to solve problems of social exclusion in a part of a neighborhood in the city of Montevideo, Uruguay. The search for solutions is framed into the plan of activities of the Socio - Cultural area of a non governmental organization, CIECOS: basically, the searching of an equitable and mutual development among the members of the society in their natural habitat. There was an intention to eradicate social marginal behaviors, violence (in the family and into the community), criminal activities, and the empowerment of the quality of life of the neighbors, specially, their women and children.
