摘要：

The results of the retrospective use of maps in the study of nature management and dynamics of the geographical environment in the central part of the Lake Baikal basin in the 20th century are presented. The spatial and temporal parameters of the dynamics of the forest cover and tilling of the territory in the 20th century are defined, the metric assessment of transformation of natural landscapes is completed, and areas of their degradation are identified.
