摘要
In the last ten years, many cermet tools with various kinds of cutting performances have appeared on the market. Cutting speeds have been increased to enable machining at high levels of efficiency. The purpose of this paper is to clarify the wear mechanism which occurs at high cutting speeds, where mutual diffusion at the interface becomes active. The elements of cermet tools are Ti, Mo, and Ni, so that crater wear during high-speed cutting of nickel and titanium base alloys has an effect on diffusion wear.
