摘要
A key factor for success in international growth of a hotel chain is the effective deployment of its assets on the objective country. This demands, among other things, that the management style adopted by the subsidiary is coherent with the product and the geographical area where it operates. In this article, the internationalization process undertaken by the Spanish hotel industry in a concrete area such as Latin America is analyzed, and the objective markets, the profile of its hotels abroad and their operation are examined. Results show that those installations have more than 4 stars, operate under the holiday tourism concept, and their preferred operational mode is by contract management.
