摘要:
The activity of aryl-alcohol oxidase was detected in the mycelial extracts of a lignin-degrading basidiomycete, Phanerochaete chrysosporium. The induction of production of the enzyme by aryl-alcohols was suggested. The enzyme,vas purified to homogeneity. The molecular weight was estimated to be about 78,000. The prosthetic group was found to be FAD. Several aryl alcohols can serve as substrates but aliphatic alcohols are inert.
