摘要
The article examines the results of a theoretical and empirical research of the differences in emotional intelligence of people inclined and not inclined to adventurism. The article also discloses the concept of adventurism. Adventurism in this research is considered as a character trait, as a stable tendency to a certain emotional attitude, way of thinking, behavior, action, and which is free from any external requirements and conventions actions for the achievement of quick success often without taking into account the specific situation. In an empirical research the following psychological methods were applied: "Methods of diagnostics of emotional intelligence" (N. Hall) and the procedure "Placing on the scale of adventurism" (modification techniques S. Dembo and S. Rubinstein). The correlation analysis has determined a positive significant relationship between the common index of propensity to adventurism and such indicators of emotional intelligence as SM (self-motivation), E (empathy) and ILEI (integrative level of emotional intelligence), CE (control emotions) and REO (recognition of the emotions of others). The results of the analysis showed that adventur-ous individuals have strong ability to understand one's own emotions and the emotions of other people, to control the emotional sphere. They can stimulate feelings that can help to inspire experiences that contribute to problem solving. Such people are characterized by self-motivation, risk appetite and perseverance in achieving their goals. It was also revealed that persons with a maximum inclination to adventurism are characterized by a higher level of emotional intelligence than people with a minimal inclination to adventurism.
