Reification and critique of the social pathologies in the frame of Axel Honneth's project of critical theory

Through a series of analytical differentiations, I reconstruct and present the elemental structure of the project of critical theory by Axel Honneth, who is considered nowadays the most relevant representative of the third generation of the Frankfurt School. Within the framework of this reconstruction, I specify the place that has Honneth's effort to reactualize Lukacs's concept of reification according to the theory of recognition. I maintain that this effort is guided by Honneth's task of giving to his intellectual project the critical line of instrumental rationality, a line pertaining to the mentioned tradition for whose examination Honneth had so far not developed an adequate conceptualization.
