MICROSCOPIC PARTON PHYSICS AND COSMIC-RAY INTERACTIONS

摘要
We review some general aspects concerning microscopic models and collision Monte Carlo generators for cascade simulation in intermediate, high and ultra high energy physics. The effects of the gluons and sea quarks, obtained after inserting the new parton distribution functions in agreement with Hera data, cannot be neglected above 10 PeV; one consequence results, near 1 EeV, in a larger proton abundance than with previous PDF assumed.
