摘要
The development of gastro-duodenal ulcers is a relevant side effect of treatment with non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID). The diminution in mucosal prostaglandin content in connection with a decreased blood perfusion, which is at least partially a consequence of an increased leucocyte adherence to mesenteric blood vessels, appear to be the pathogenetic key mechanisms. The prostaglandin analogue misoprostol, H-2-receptor antagonists as well as the H+/K+-ATPase inhibitor omeprazole are effective therapeutic agents.
