REE concentrations have been determined in oils, oil asphaltens, source-rocks, kerogene, combustible schists, and coals by means of neutron-activation analysis. Check analyses were made using atom-emission spectroscopy with inductive-fixed plasma. Relative enrichment of oils with the mid and heavy lanthanides has been found as compared to the primary source-rocks (SR). Oil asphaltens inherit REE composition of SR to some extent. One can distinguish the Bazhenov and Tyumen oils on the Ce - Eu and Sm - Eu diagram.
