Inside the Mind of an Academic Proletariat: An Essay on the Development Process of a Master's Thesis in Business Administration fro the Aspect of the Different Decision-Making Models

This study deals with a theoretical study that covers the decisions made by individuals directly involved in the production of the dissertation. i.e. the graduate student and the mentor teacher, in the light of four different decision-making models: Rational Model, Behavioral Model, Incremental Model and Political Model. A better understanding of the decisions taken at various stages of production of the dissertation and the characteristics of those decisions can contribute to the understanding of the reasons impacting the quality of the final product, which has been questioned. Finally, the analysis of the decisions that comprise the different development stages of the dissertation suggests the possibility of occurrence of different types of decisions at different work stages.
