摘要
The research on "How do students who pass to Social Science School read and write?" carried out at University of Envigado had as an objective to demonstrate that a course addressed from textual linguistics (TL) and critical discourse analysis (CDA) boosts students' written culture, whose literacy level is very low. Two tests were done in two groups: an experimental and a control. The first group was oriented from TL and CDA. The second one was based on a traditional and formal orientation. The first test purpose was to describe the entry literacy level and the second test one was to describe the end literacy level. Results show that experimental group improved meaningfully the skill to summary and read critically, as well as textual handle; control group remained in almost the same state.
