Formal representation of the logical structure of web sites, and its application to a multilingual web browser based on dialogue

摘要
HTML tags have poor semantic meaning because the final user of the web is supposed to be a human being with several skills. The user has understand the web site by means of natural language, visual features of text and images, etc. Semantic web deals to create a net of ontogies into the web by describing the meaning of the site in a more formal way. In this work, we propose a formal representation named Web Logic Forms (WLF) between HTML and semantic web in order to represent the logic structure of a web site. Thus, the navigator is able to present the information of the site in a more appropriate way for a given user. By example, the navigator was able to present the information without any visual object, by "reading" the information by using structural aspects of the site such as headings, sections, news, etc. In order to test WLF, we propose a web navigator based on dialog suitable for blind persons or navigation by using small portable devices such as PDAs or smart phones.
